Pour Your Own Wine

Pour your own wine at a wine bar? An established concept abroad, but from now on you can also do it at Rayleigh & Ramsey in Amsterdam.

All one hundred wines are displayed in dispensers from which you can pour. For each wine, you can choose a sip, half a glass or a full glass. This way, you can first taste your favorite before pouring a full glass. You pay with a card that you insert into the dispenser, which you preload at the bar. A kind of candy machine, but for wine. Even better.
Flavor profile
If you’re worried about being € 10,- worth of sips in before finding your favorite wine: the wines are divided by flavor profile. If you know you like a robust, full-bodied Chardonnay, you can simply skip the fresh category.
Affordable
FavorFlav’s Emma’s favorites are the Weissburgunder and the Bandol rosé. All the wines are also very affordable. For almost all wines, the price is between € 5,- and € 7,- for a full glass. With a few small exceptions on the higher end, for when you have something to celebrate.
Sharing dishes
Naturally, food has also been taken into consideration. You can enjoy oysters, olives and brandade croquettes with rouille alongside your drinks. There are also dishes to order and share, such as butter lettuce with asparagus and poached egg, and blood sausage with apple and chicory.
