Obama’s Super Bowl snacks
Curious about what President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama ate during the Super Bowl last night? Nothing fancy—think nachos with guacamole, pizza, and chicken wings. Michelle Obama has been working for some time to tackle childhood obesity through various campaigns such as ‘Let’s Move’, but an exception is made for this special evening. “Yes, there are two salads and some vegetables on the table,” but according to the presidential couple, they won’t be touched.
God bless Girl Scout cookies
A box of cookies that leads to the arrest of a fugitive. This sounds like quite a story, but it really did happen in the United States. The police wanted to stop a man on a motorcycle, but he quickly sped away. During the chase, the fugitive threw a small package into the bushes. It turned out to be freshly purchased Girl Scout cookies, along with a note bearing the cookie seller’s phone number. Using this number, the police managed to trace the man’s address and arrest him.
Chef fools the world
Neal Fraser, a chef from Los Angeles, served McDonald’s to a group of forty food journalists without them knowing it. The fast-food chain’s dishes were not immediately recognizable; Fraser used separate ingredients and products to create new dishes. At the end of the meal, the news was revealed, resulting in many indignant faces. The chef wanted to make people think, but McDonald’s also paid handsomely for it. The company had had more than enough of the negative PR and saw this as the perfect way to present the Mac in a better light.
