Really: mac-and-cheese bar

Whole Foods was acquired by Amazon this year, and ever since, everyone has been trembling in anticipation of what the webshop giant will do with the crown jewels of organic-loving America. Crush them or let them shine? For now, a mac-and-cheese bar is opening in Denver, Colorado, at the newest Whole Foods location.

The mac-and-cheese bar at the new outlet, the Denver Union Station Whole Foods, is not the first in the world. But still. Mac-and-cheese. Amazon certainly knows how to win over its customers.
Oozy
If anyone in Denver was sceptical about the webshop giant’s takeover of their beloved darling supermarket Whole Foods, that scepticism will soon simply be smothered in an oozy macaroni-and-cheese dish.
The mac-and-cheese bar is turning Denver into a food destiny.
That dish must, according to the official Whole Foods standards, meet the following conditions: completely free of artificial preservatives, colours, flavours, sweeteners and hydrogenated fats.
Spoon
That means that from mid-November, every comfort-food lover in Denver can confidently plunge their spoon into, for example, the version with pulled-pork barbecue, the one with roasted tomatoes, or even a vegan mac and cheese.
One thing is certain: this will turn Denver into a serious food destiny overnight.
