Recipe: Dutch herring bowl

Why choose salmon or tuna when you can fill your poké bowl with incredibly fresh, quintessentially Dutch herring? At least as delicious, much cheaper and incredibly healthy.

Preparation
- Cook the ramen noodles according to the instructions on the package.
- Are the noodles ready? Put them in a large (non-metallic) bowl and pour the soy sauce over them. Let the noodles cool for a while.
- Cut (or grate) the carrot into small pieces and cut the radishes and spring onion into thin slices.
- Then use clean scissors to cut the sushi nori into thin strips and keep them in a dry place.
- Also cut the beetroot into thin slices or cubes.
- Finally, cut the herrings into pieces and keep them in the refrigerator.
- Divide the cooled noodles among 4 bowls and finish your sushi bowls by distributing all the ingredients over the noodles.
- Finally, sprinkle some sesame seeds over the bowls.
- For an extra flavour experience, serve the bowls with soy sauce, some pickled ginger and wasabi on the side.
