Recipe: pulled chicken from the slow cooker

“My name is Wieke and I’m addicted to the slow cooker.” Yes, people, it’s really true: I love my slow cooker. Onion soup, rendang fries, I make everything in it and it’s all equally fantastic. Take this pulled chicken, for example—the easiest dish I’ve made in the slow cooker so far, and it’s also incredibly delicious. Plenty of reasons to try it yourself…

How to make pulled chicken
- First, briefly fry the chicken, onion, garlic and sambal in the pan. Then set the slow cooker to high for 1 hour.
- Then add the remaining ingredients and set it to high for another 5 hours.
- When the chicken is ready, you can pull all the chicken thighs apart with two forks, and your pulled chicken is completely ready to be served.
Tip: pulled chicken is delicious on a bread roll, but it can also be served with rice or in a wrap.
