Sausage subscription?

Back in the day, your grandma had a subscription to Libelle or Margriet. Your mother got ELLE delivered through the letterbox every month. And you? A package of sausages. From Brandt & Levie.

Meal kits have become an indispensable part of modern life. Your groceries planned by someone else and often already gathered together in exactly the right quantities, then delivered right to your door. Could it be any easier?

Specialisations

And this no longer applies only to the ingredients for an entire evening meal. More and more providers are specialising in one type of product that is offered weekly or monthly by subscription.

We previously wrote about Buurvissen, where the fish of the season is caught every week in the North Sea by a Urk fishing boat and delivered to you or your neighbours the very next day, already filleted. Only catching it yourself is fresher.

Sausage subscription

And now there is the sausage subscription from the gentlemen Brandt & Levie (and van Wersch). Not unfamiliar names to anyone who sometimes orders a drinks platter in the hospitality industry. The sausages they make in their Amsterdam factory are found on those rustic boards all over the Netherlands and even Belgium. At Sergio Herman’s as well as at the community centre.

Brandt & Levie: ‘If you eat sausage, eat good sausage’

You can also buy the sausages in some shops. But from now on, the men are making it even easier for you: every two months, they will bring a package of sausages and other culinary meat products to your home. Too much? Not at all, you simply freeze part of it without any loss of quality.

Fresh and dry

In addition to fresh and dry sausages, your package contains fresh meat and/or dried and prepared meat products such as pulled pork one time, and cured ham, coppa and/or bacon the next. All made exclusively from well-raised Dutch pigs, according to the sausage makers. If you eat meat, eat good meat – that is their credo.

How much does it cost? 45 euros every two months. You cannot eat sausage every day for that amount. But that is not necessary either, even the sausage makers themselves believe.

You can subscribe online via the Brandt & Levie website.
