SNCKBR in Utrecht

Chinese restaurant Paradijs aan het Vredenburg has disappeared. The whole of Utrecht mourned its loss, but a worthy successor has arrived. The healthy SNCKBAR already has a few successful locations in Amsterdam, but the one in Utrecht is the first to serve 100 percent plant-based food.

You may have to wait a little, because at SNCKBR you (still) cannot make a reservation. In that case, have a cocktail at the bar. In the meantime, you can take a good look around the place. The interior is sleek, but also warm (think green velvet and light wood). Another nice touch: the old Paradijs sign is displayed in the middle of the restaurant, and the menu features a ‘paradijs-kapsalon’.

At SNCKBR, you eat vegan world cuisine. Start your evening with gyozas, bao buns and Peking luck pancakes (the vegan version of Peking duck). Afterwards, you can choose from pizzas, burgers, noodles and wraps. For those with a sweet tooth, there is grandma’s apple pie, red crème brûlée and plenty of chocolate. By the end of the food fest, you will be so satisfied that you will spontaneously have forgotten that you ate 100% vegan food.
