Snoop Dogg’s Mashed Potatoes
The moment we heard that Snoop Dogg was releasing a cookbook was the most euphoric moment in the newsroom last year. That it would be called From Crook to Cook: Platinum Recipes from Tha Boss Dogg’s Kitchen seemed almost too good to be true. And now he’s also giving us the secret ingredient for the creamiest mashed potatoes.
His cookbook is packed with his favorite recipes, many of which are all American classics. Mac and cheese obviously had to be included, and when you get the munchies, Snoop has the ultimate fried sandwich with chips for you. And creamy mashed potatoes? You can also confidently leave that to the rapper. His secret? A big, generous spoonful of mayonnaise.
Extra creamy
We never could have dreamed that Snoop would one day be our advisor in the kitchen. Still, this tip makes quite a lot of sense when you think about it. Mayonnaise is wonderfully rich and creamy, making it the perfect addition to your mash. Many mayos also have a pleasant tang, which is another nice bonus. Adding a spoonful of mayonnaise to your mashed potatoes? Then leave out the butter.
