Sunday brunch with free childcare

Fancy a last-minute, lavish brunch with all the trimmings, but unable to arrange a babysitter for the kids at such short notice? Restaurant 5&33 in Amsterdam has a great solution: Playtime. You brunch while your children play in another room.

As far as we’re concerned, the best thing about eating out isn’t even how delicious the food is, but that you can relax and unwind from your hectic life for a while. No thinking about what to cook, that enormous pile of dishes or how the children are doing. Playtime has thought this through perfectly, allowing you to enjoy a delicious brunch while your children play happily under supervision, of course.
The children are looked after by the Amsterdam Nannies. This means they have all received the right training, have years of experience and hold a paediatric first-aid certificate. So you can enjoy your (boozy) brunch worry-free while your children are cared for and spend the entire afternoon playing the most fun games.

Food for the whole family
During the brunch, expect all the brunch classics, such as bagels with cheese and salmon, poached eggs with avocado and delicious smoothies. And a brunch isn’t a brunch without mimosas, so those are provided too. And the kids? They get plenty of tasty food as well. In the playroom, there is an extensive buffet with fresh fruit, healthy muffins and whole-wheat pancakes. So no terrorising kids with a sugar rush at the end of the day.
From now on, you can visit 5&33 with all your little ones on the first Sunday of every month, just a stone’s throw from Amsterdam Central Station. The next edition is on 7 April, followed by 5 May and 2 June—you get the idea… For €25 per person, you get an extensive brunch (between 13:00 and 17:00) as well as free childcare. Score, because that’s a lot cheaper than paying the girl next door for the entire afternoon, right? You can make a reservation here.
