Taking a nap in the café

Nap cafe

Tokyo has another unusual café until 26 March: you can take a nap in a nap café. This is drawing attention to World Sleep Day.

There are temporarily ten luxury beds in the café, which you can find in the Harajuku district.  It is primarily intended for hard-working Japanese people, who could use some extra sleep in between. The initiative comes from Nescafé and France Bed.

At the nap café, you are required to order something to eat first, after which you receive free coffee and a bed for two hours. Before you leave for dreamland for two hours, you first receive a decaf coffee, after which you drift off to sleep to the sound of soft saxophone music. When it is time to get up, you receive a cup of regular coffee to help you get back on your way.
