Vincent Eilandkeuken is without a doubt our favorite address on Texel. Here you can enjoy fish from the cutter, herbs from their own garden, island meat and cockles from the Wadden Sea. And if you’re satisfied after an evening of dining? You can simply crawl into the adjoining bed & breakfast. Do you really have money to burn? Then let yourself be pampered at Bij Jef. This Michelin-starred restaurant is worth the trip to Texel in itself. Here too, you can daydream in the luxurious suites at the restaurant.

Vlieland
If you’re on Vlieland, you have to visit Het Armhuis. Chef Ronald Tausch is at the helm, the twin brother of Thérese Boer. And taste runs in the family, because Ronald performs small miracles in his kitchen. A set menu is served, constantly responding to the seasons and the day’s offerings.

Terschelling
The pride of restaurant De ZEE is a gigantic wood-fired oven. Mediterranean dishes are prepared in it using products from the region. Think bruschetta caprese with ‘wet’ Terschellinger sheep’s cheese and pizza with Terschellinger cured lamb ham.

Ameland
Time seems to have stood still for a while at the Witte Paard. But don’t be misled by the somewhat dated interior. The menu is exceptionally strong, featuring island goose, oysters from the Wadden Sea, Ameland bacon and much more delicious food.

Schiermonnikoog
Hotel, ice cream parlor and restaurant all in one. It doesn’t sound terribly promising, but Ambrosijn is absolutely worth a visit. Be sure to try the chef’s menu with matching wines and let yourself be surprised. But you can also come here for lunch, for a hearty slice of bread or a luxurious langoustine broth with shellfish and crustaceans.
