Lodge/Branding, Noordwijk

The Lodge in Noordwijk is open all year round, but in summer it is called Branding Beach Club. A greenhouse has been built next to the beach pavilion, so you can sit comfortably in the warmth all year round. The menu features different dishes every day. Expect families, hipsters and coffee drinkers.

De Pit, ‘s Gravenzande

Here you can eat crispy wood-fired pizzas from a homemade wood-fired oven, as well as other fresh Italian dishes. The atmosphere is makeshift and laid-back, like a surfer’s hangout. Nothing fancy, then, but good food.

Strandpaviljoen, Aloha Wijk aan Zee

Fresh juices with carrot, apple and ginger, wood-fired pizzas, salads and homemade apple pie. Everything at Aloha is as fresh as can be. The crowd is a mix of surfers, people coming to get some fresh air and sociable people with dogs.
Reyndersweg 2, Velsen-Noord

De Walvis, Terschelling

Here you can see the most beautiful sunset on the Wadden island. This cosy beach pavilion is just like a living room, with rugs on the floor and large wooden tables where you can sit with all your friends or family. De Walvis is a favourite spot for many islanders, but is also popular with people from the mainland.

Patagonia, The Hague

This is the place on the Zwarte Pad to go for a good meal. Ceviche, beef tenderloin, sea bass fillet, pavlova—all these dishes are prepared mainly with organic ingredients. There is a special kids’ menu for children.

Blijburg aan Zee, Amsterdam

At this beach pavilion, you can recover in the sun after a yoga class on the beach or a few hours of stand-up paddleboarding, with pão de queijo, scones, flammkuchen, scrambled eggs or all kinds of cake. Straight-up food for the soul.

Pure C Cadzand

At Pure C, forget a simple beach snack—you’ll get a Michelin-starred meal from chef Syrco Bakker. Bakker was mentored under Sergio Herman, so expect nothing but the best here. The adjoining hotel is currently being renovated, so soon you’ll also be able to sleep at a Michelin-starred level.
