The bigger the wine glass, the more you drink
Do you like drinking from those large wine glasses? Then you drink more wine than people who drink from a small glass, research from the University of Cambridge and the University of Bristol shows.

That sounds perfectly logical, of course, because more wine fits in a large glass, but that’s not the reason. The research shows that among people who drink the same amount of wine from large– and small glasses, those with the large glasses are more likely to keep drinking.
The cause
The size therefore corresponds to drinking a lot or a little. The cause is our perception, because we think we have only drunk a small amount from an empty glass.
