The chocolate letter of the moment is filled with… pickles. Is it tasty?

It’s that time of year again when you can expect chocolate letters in all shapes and sizes, such as Lidl’s croquette letter. But this year, pickle king Kesbeke has made things very exciting indeed. Their latest creation is the chocogurk. That’s right, a chocolate letter filled with pickles! You can find this flavor explosion at Jamin for €8.50, but will you actually enjoy it?

What started as a secret project has now officially launched, and the Kesbeke team is over the moon. Kesbeke’s crew tested the chocogurk at the factory and were immediately convinced by this unique taste experience. Then again, they do that more often, because this year we see Kesbeke popping up everywhere.
Kesbeke: everything pickles
For example, Kesbeke recently also came up with liver sausage with pickles. They’re certainly innovative, but not every product is a hit. Whether you’re a Kesbeke fan or simply curious about new flavor combinations, the chocogurk is definitely worth trying. But let’s be honest: this combination is really for the brave.
The chocogurk tested
Our colleague Rick tested the chocogurk, and the conclusion is… well, let’s just say it’s not exactly a new favorite. The filling is too soft, and the smell isn’t particularly inviting either. The combination of the sourness of the pickle with the sweetness of the chocolate simply isn’t a good match, according to Rick.
Would you dare to try it this holiday season—the chocogurk costs €8.50—or would you rather stick with the traditional letters?
