The tastiest inspiration

foodinspiration

Our editorial team spends all day thinking about food. It starts in bed in the morning with hunger-inducing photos on Instagram and continues throughout the day on Facebook and countless websites. Here are four favorites.

Foodgawker.com

Don’t know what you want to eat tonight? Then definitely don’t go to Foodgawker, because this site features an endless number of delicious recipes, from starters to desserts and everything in between. That doesn’t make choosing any easier. Do visit if you want to calmly find some inspiration for your next elaborate dinner.

Food52.com

This site regularly features incredibly beautiful pans costing roughly 400 euros. You can buy them in the webshop, but they’re more for daydreaming about. Everything else on the website is styled in a very polished and therefore slightly contrived way. The Martha Stewart factor is high, but you can find good classic recipes. If you join the Food52 community, you can take part in real recipe competitions. The winners of the best recipe are determined by the likes given by other community members.

Tasty

Tasty, part of BuzzFeed, is probably the purest form of food porn. The short recipes in video form on this Facebook page are insanely decadent.  If you weren’t hungry before, this page will make you hungry. You want everything that comes by. And you want it now!

Who doesn’t love beautiful food illustrations and insightful articles about the culinary world? For example, you can read about kitchen culture and how the price of eggs is determined. Monthly themes are explored on this site through essays, art, photography and recipes. A beautiful hard copy of the magazine is also published four times a year.
