The Tastiest Lunchroom Sandwich in the Netherlands

Lunchroom Baker & Moore in Rotterdam has won this year’s award for ‘The Tastiest Lunchroom Sandwich in the Netherlands 2018’. Don’t live nearby? Then get in the car or on the train now, because the sandwich with torched salmon, nori mash and avocado is absolutely worth the trip.

Paul Bakker’s entry, the owner of lunchroom Baker & Moore, was an absolute favorite among all the judges. The winning sandwich is called ‘Mr. Baker goes Asia’ and certainly lives up to its name.

Sushi sandwich
For anyone craving sushi but also wanting a delicious sandwich, this creation is a must try. The torched salmon, nori mash and avocado are already a winning combination, but the soy, sesame and ginger dressing really completes it. To score extra points for originality, it is also combined with pickled sweet-and-sour cauliflower and a crunchy seed mix for extra bite.

How can you win?
The competition is an initiative of the trade magazine Lunchroom. The prize you can win is an industry award. That is why the jury paid the most attention to the price-quality ratio, the originality of the recipe, the presentation and, of course, the taste. The award is therefore rightly called The Tastiest Lunchroom Sandwich in the Netherlands. The platter, certificate and flowers remained in Rotterdam, where you can taste the ‘Mr. Baker goes Asia’ at lunchroom Baker & Moore.
