The ultimate bacon toastie

The highly entertaining little book Extreem Beleggen contains 55 over-the-top loaded sandwiches. Filet américain with sprinkles? No biggie. As far as we’re concerned, this book is the ideal gift for the (slightly) adventurous eater. This bacon toastie is extremely delicious and salty.

Prepare an ordinary cheese toastie, preferably with mature cheese. Wrap a blanket of ten bacon strips around the toastie. First five from left to right, then the other five from top to bottom. Gently fry the result until golden brown in a frying pan, six minutes per side.
