These children’s ‘reviews’ are more critical than those of many a culinary critic

If you thought Hiske Versprille and Joel Broekaert have a sharp pen, you haven’t met these little critics yet. Their parents do their very best to fill a lunchbox with varied food, only to receive (unsolicited), brutally honest and utterly scathing ‘feedback’ and reviews.

On X (Twitter), parents share the unfiltered notes their children send back in their colorful lunchboxes. And it’s not just parents: Mark van der Werk—known on social media as Meester Mark—also regularly shares hilarious notes. We wonder when the first of them will make their debut as a culinary critic.
