Tip: grocery list app

Grocery shopping can sometimes be quite a task, from the Asian grocery store to the butcher and then still having to get the last few things at the supermarket. A good grocery list is crucial for this. I swear by the grocery app Buy Me a Pie!

Old-fashioned grocery lists on paper are of course wonderfully authentic and all that. But once you’ve experienced the highly organized way of using this grocery app, you won’t want anything else.
Organized
Create different lists for the supermarket, butcher or greengrocer, make a to-do list or keep track of what food you still have in your freezer. The app also makes it very easy to add quantities after your ingredients, which keeps everything nice and organized.

Check it
Tick off the things you’ve bought, so you can watch your list get smaller and smaller—a rather satisfying feature. You can also categorize items, so all the meat, vegetables and dairy products are grouped together. It saves you a lot of walking back and forth around the supermarket.
Get it
Buy Me a Pie! is available via the website; once you’ve created an account, you can edit your lists on your phone, tablet or computer. Ideal. The app is free, unless you want to upgrade to a very large number of grocery lists—in that case, you pay a few euros.
