Tony’s Chocolonely gets a book

We all know Tony’s Chocolonely for its thick, addictive chocolate bars with unusual flavor combinations. But behind our beloved Tony’s there is also a wonderful story. That’s why author Jeroen Siebelink wrote a book about it.

Tony’s came into being because its founders failed to sue chocolate manufacturers for exploitation on cocoa plantations. They sued themselves for eating chocolate made by child slaves. The judge did not go along with this and acquitted them. That’s why they decided to make slave-free chocolate themselves, and in 2005 the first Tony’s Chocolonely bar went on sale.
