Two weekends of wine in your Bacchus

For two weekends, the Amsterdamse Bos will be all about wine and celebration. From 8 to 10 and 15 to 17 June, the annual Bacchus Wine Festival will set up shop there. Cheers!

According to the festival, Bacchus is ‘to the Roman gods what your mother is to the rest of the family after her third glass of Lambrusco’. They both understand the pleasure of wine and the buzz it brings. Slurp away.

Wine

Enjoyment is therefore the most important thing during the festival. You can take part in tastings, create wine and food pairings and, before you know it, become a true expert. You can try more than 300 different wines, ranging in price from €3 to a price that requires a larger wallet. Sommeliers will guide you around the various tasting tables and introduce you to their stories and experiences. Or tell your own best wine stories during the confession hour.

Food

Wine calls for food, so that has been taken care of. The MUNCHIES-kitchen, where a different top chef cooks up a storm every evening, will be back due to popular demand. You can opt for a genuine four-course menu, or walk five steps and find yourself in the food court with a loaded burger in your hand. Bo Nam* and the Grillhelden, among others, will showcase their culinary talents.

Music

While you enjoy your wine and burger, a pleasant mix of music will be playing in the background. All weekend long, Horace Cohen and Pim Veth will host the programme, featuring acts such as Mr. Wix, DJ Fluffer and Alamaison. Get your feet off the floor and your hands in the air.
