Ultimate weekend outing: a cocktail walk

wandeling cocktails

Now that we’re getting better and better at shaking cocktails at home, we still miss the hospitality industry terribly, of course. Because shaking a cocktail yourself is fun, but I usually can’t make one as delicious as a pro, and the vibe in my living room is also just a little different. So HOORAY for this logical next step: after the oh-so-fun take-away walks, the first Amsterdam Clubwalk, with cocktails to go, is a fact!

We haven’t seen the inside of cocktail bars and clubs for quite some time, but that’s about to change. During Clubwalk, various Amsterdam clubs and restaurants open their doors to everyone during the day, so that, even if only for a little while, we can once again enjoy that wonderful atmosphere. And more than that, because you’ll also be provided with a cocktail and/or bite.

Tell me more!

Yes, that’s what I thought. Here goes: the first edition kicks off in the capital with an amazing walk of more than 5,000 steps past 5 clubs. At each nightclub, you’ll take a short walk-thru across the dance floor, the DJs will be spinning tunes, and a delicious cocktail to go will be waiting for you at the exit. You start at Supperclub, then make your way to Bar Rouge, Kopstootbar, ClubNL, Disco Dolly, Cannibale Royale and Escape. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to linger for long, but at least you’ll have had the chance to sample club life again.

Good vibes

One of the initiators of Clubwalk is Joeri Salet, owner of Supperclub and Bar Rouge. ‘We were receiving more and more emails and messages from regular guests and enthusiasts asking how and whether they could help Supperclub. They also told us how much they missed nightlife and the club vibes that come with it. I approached a number of other Amsterdam clubs and, et voilà, Clubwalk is a fact! I’m very happy that we’ve set this up together, as a collective. As club owners, we’ve had to do without any prospect for such a long time, and we’d like to offer a positive counterpoint. We’d love it if we could do something similar for clubs in other cities too,’ says Joeri.

The Amsterdam Clubwalk takes place every Friday (from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.), Saturday and Sunday (from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.) from 23 April onward. You’ll walk the entire route in approximately one and a half to two hours. A ticket, including five cocktails and two bites, costs € 46.50. There is an alcohol-free alternative for every cocktail, and vegetarians have also been taken into consideration. You can make a reservation via the Clubwalk website – Every participating club receives a share of the ticket price #supporttheclubs.
