Unique: 6-course Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage dinner at Yamazato in Amsterdam

Don’t have any plans for Christmas and New Year’s Eve yet, but would you like to spend this month spectacularly? Then this might be the golden tip: the 6-course Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage dinner at the Michelin-starred Japanese Yamazato Restaurant in Hotel Okura Amsterdam.

Before you read on: when you hear the words ‘vintage champagne’ and ‘Japanese Michelin-starred restaurant’, you probably already understand that you won’t be done for 100 euros. For this exceptional dinner, you’ll have to dig a little deeper into your pockets. But you get something in return!
Japanese works of art on your plate
During this unique 6-course dinner, designed by Yamazato’s Chef de Cuisine Tsukasa Hagimori, luxury and sophistication come together. The top chef drew his inspiration for this dinner from his recent six-month trip (we’re jealous!) to Yamazato Tokyo, the birthplace of the Yamazato restaurants. During the special Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage dinner, Hagimori combines traditional kaiseki cuisine (which roughly means artisanal works of art on your plate) with modern techniques, making the dinner a unique experience. Every dish, from refined sashimi to flavourful sukiyaki, highlights the essence of Japanese cuisine, with an incredible amount of attention paid to both the flavour and the presentation.

Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage Champagne
The dishes are paired with the exceptional Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage cuvées. These are so-called millésime champagnes; wines from a single vintage whose climatic conditions are sublime, thereby preserving the style of a particular vintage. The special vintage champagnes have been selected from different years to enhance the flavours of the dishes. Start the evening with a glass of the refined Réserve Impérial, followed by three exceptional vintages, each with its own flavour profile.
