Will you come and strengthen our editorial team? FavorFlav.com is the site where food lovers get their culinary fix: from a sophisticated Michelin-starred dish to the ultimate roti at the Surinamese snack bar around the corner.
Because we’re currently working on one creative plan after another and want everything to look even more delicious, we’re looking for a VISUAL INTERN. Do you think in images? And do you know exactly which image will immediately make us hungry? Do you completely understand what fits FavorFlav? And, above all, what doesn’t? And are you also looking for an internship? Then come and strengthen the editorial team of the tastiest editorial office in the Netherlands!
Visual editorial team
As of 1 September 2019, an internship position will become available on the FavorFlav editorial team. Are you studying graphic design or, for example, at the Willem de Kooning Academy? And do you have a sharp eye, good taste, an eye for detail, and know exactly which images fit FavorFlav? Then this internship is truly for you.
What will you do?
Strengthen our editorial team in creating a recognisable and appetising visual language in the broadest sense of the word: from creating appealing images to improving our corporate identity and sourcing visuals for both the website and social media. You’ll provide articles with suitable visual material by searching, for example, our own or general image libraries. You’ll also support the editorial team in producing original visual content.
What we expect from you
Creativity: you blow us away with your ideas for an appealing visual language. You have good design skills, Adobe CC holds few secrets for you, and you enjoy photographing, filming and editing. You’re also not averse to the occasional crazy GIF.
Knowledge of WordPress: we don’t need to explain how to embed your creative outbursts in our articles. In fact, you’re even more up to date than we are on all the (new) technical possibilities.
Responsibility:you’ll work on the editorial team as a fully-fledged colleague, so we expect you to have a proactive and responsible attitude. Deadlines are naturally sacred to you.
What we offer you
The duration of the internship is negotiable, but we’d like you to join us full-time for at least three months, preferably starting in September. You’ll have a workspace at the most beautiful and cosiest editorial office in Amsterdam-Zuid, and we provide a delicious lunch every day. The internship allowance is also well taken care of, and you’ll definitely build the tastiest portfolio of all your fellow students. And perhaps best of all: you’ll regularly attend fun openings and launches and meet the crème de la crème of the Dutch food scene.
