The documentary is the film adaptation of the thought-provoking book Jonathan Safran Foer wrote in 2009. What appeals to us so much about the documentary is the goal the makers have in mind. Namely, it is not to make people who eat meat feel guilty, unlike other films on this subject.

Different sides

Director Christopher Quinn believes it is important to highlight multiple sides of the subject, he tells Munchies in an interview. For example, the film takes you into the life of an authentic turkey farmer. His animals lead a life of luxury, but he can barely survive because of competition from the mass industry. In contrast, there is the story of a farmer who has tens of thousands of chickens but feels incredibly guilty.

When can you watch it?

All in all, we expect an objective and honest film that we are eager to watch. We do not yet know exactly when it will be available in the Netherlands. But we do have the trailer ready for you:
