We Design Food during ART Rotterdam
Are you going to ART Rotterdam this weekend and do you love not only art, but also good food? Then be sure to stop by the Van Nelle Fabriek, because We Design Food will be exhibiting a temporary food and drink atelier there. In this atelier, various food designers work together to serve seasonal dishes. FavorFlav’s Naresh Ramdjas will also make an appearance.
This year, Art Rotterdam will be held at the Van Nelle Fabriek. At this art fair, you can view and buy the work of – mainly – young up-and-coming artists. You can also watch video art by Projections, and there are various pop-up shows and artist presentations by, among others, TENT and Garage Rotterdam. And there is food, too. What will We Design Food be serving? The menu includes veal cheek braised with thyme, celeriac, salsify and leek, as well as a dish with lingcod, fregola, smoked egg yolk, garlic and spring onion.
The line-up
- Chefs Arne Ramak, Menno Vreeburg and Maarten Hogeveen guarantee explosive flavors, beautiful textures, aromas and colors;
- Barista Luc Barkhof will experiment with the various aromas and roasts of his coffee beans;
- Baker Edwin Klaasen will prepare sourdough with fermented seeds;
- Bartender Johan Kersten will let loose with spirits, sours and spices;
- Chocolatier Gido van der Kamp will make chocolates inspired by artist Damien Hirst.
