What to do at Pentecost?

We have a sunny Pentecost weekend ahead of us. And what do we love doing most at the weekend? Exactly: eating and drinking. Be sure to visit one of these culinary events for the most relaxing weekend. Have fun!

Utrecht | Food Truck Festival TREK | 17–21 May
TREK is a free food truck festival. Throughout the summer, TREK travels all over the country. This upcoming Pentecost weekend, the event will set up in Utrecht. Griftpark will be transformed into an open-air restaurant. Be sure to bring a blanket, find a nice spot and you’re guaranteed a wonderful day.
18–19 May | Amsterdam | Gin Festival
It’s time once again for the Amsterdam edition of the Gin Festival. At the festival, you can taste different types of gin and learn all about their origins, the distilling process and delicious combinations with gin. The festival takes place at Undercurrent, an events venue at the NDSM wharf. You can buy tickets here.
18–22 May | Vlissingen | Cuisine Machine
During the Pentecost weekend, Cuisine Machine takes place in Vlissingen: the largest free culinary carnival in the Netherlands. Visit the festival in the industrial Machinefabriek, on the site of the former shipyard. Good to know: parking is free, and bring cash with you. Paying by card is not possible at most stands.
19–21 May | Ede | Eten op rolletjes
Eten op rolletjes is also travelling all over the country this year and will stop in Ede during the Pentecost weekend. The festival is free, open to the whole family, and entertainment is provided in the form of theatre and live music.
