White M&M’s

m&m's

We love M&M’s. Peanut, crunchy, plain. Bring it on. And soon the range will be expanded with something we’re really looking forward to: white M&M’s.

Did you know that the first M&M’s were handed out to American soldiers during the Second World War? At that time, only the brown variety existed. The other colors came later. There was a lot of fuss particularly about red, because people associated it with ‘food coloring derived from lice’, even though this was not the case at all with M&M’s. Some time later, when the storm had died down, red M&M’s were simply reintroduced. Since then, a lot has happened in the world of M&M’s. Some new flavors (pretzel, toffee) never made it to the Netherlands, but other milestones have changed our lives.

We were already happy when you could tap your own colors and put together your own bag of M&M’s. But the fun doesn’t stop there. The makers of M&M’s have come up with something else brilliant: white M&M’s. Just like the milk chocolate variety, this version is available in peanut, crunchy and plain. It’s going to be a real party when you can fill your own bag of M&M’s at the cinema.

It is not clear when the white M&M’s will be produced, but we do know that this treat will not remain solely in America.
