Willy’s Carrot Cake from the Airfryer

It’s delicious, it’s orange(ish), and it comes from the Airfryer. Guess what it is? No, not a nasi disk. It’s a birthday cake for King Willy. Hooray!

Spicy, sweet and smothered in fresh frosting. Who doesn’t like carrot cake — apart from some strange guinea pig, of course?
Did you know you can also make it in the Airfryer? They even have a handy baking pan for it. Don’t have one (yet)? No stress: you can also use a regular oven dish or baking tin. In both cases, the benefits of the Airfryer remain: it’s faster and you need less fat. Ready? Let’s bake!
How to make carrot cake from the Airfryer
- Line the baking accessory with baking paper
- Put the flour, spices, grated carrots and sugar in a bowl and mix well.
- Add the eggs, milk and oil to the middle of the mixture and combine with a wooden spoon until incorporated.
- Put the mixture in the baking tin and bake it in the Airfryer at 150 degrees for 40 minutes.
- Meanwhile, make the frosting: whisk the cream cheese until light and smooth.
- In another bowl, beat the butter, icing sugar and honey until light and fluffy. Fold the mixtures together.
- When the cake is done and has cooled slightly, spread the topping over the carrot cake and sprinkle with nuts.
- If desired, you can also cut the cake in half and spread a layer of frosting between the layers.
