You don’t have to leave the house for these pastas

You’re lying so comfortably on the couch, it’s cold outside, but boy, are you craving a plate of pasta. If you make sure your pantry and fridge are a little on fleek, that’s no problem at all. These five pastas will be in front of you in no time.

Tip: pasta without Parmesan cheese is simply not an option. So always make sure you have some at home. It keeps for a long time and is also delicious in your salad, risotto and straight from the block. Even the rind can make your dishes much tastier.
Carbonara
Okay, you may not have guanciale (cured pork cheek) or pancetta at home as standard, but there are probably still some bacon bits left over from breakfast last weekend. Egg, Parmesan cheese and plenty of black pepper, and you’ll have carbonara in ten minutes.
Cacio e pepe
No bacon or eggs around? Then just make cacio e pepe, right? A sort of mac and cheese, but for adults, and you need nothing more than cheese and pepper.
Puttanesca
Perhaps the ultimate pantry pasta, because everything that goes into it keeps forever. Canned tomatoes, capers, olives and anchovies combine to make a killer sauce.
Pimp your tomato sauce
Not in the mood for puttanesca but craving tomato sauce? Pimp your tomato sauce with one of these great tips.
Aglio olio
You’ll find the very best aglio olio e peperoncino in our cookbook. We make it with fresh peppers, but there have also been times when dried chilli flakes ended up in the pasta because we had nothing else at home. Absolutely delicious too!
