Are you cutting your cauliflower wrong?

If you still think of cauliflower as overcooked vegetables with cheese sauce, you really need to start paying attention. Roasted in the oven, as a purée, as ‘rice’ or even deep-fried: cauliflower is incredibly versatile and damn delicious. Still, it’s a shame that you’ve probably been cutting it wrong your entire life.

Or at least, that’s what Ina Garten says. ‘Who the fuck is Ina?’ I hear you thinking, but in America she is—known as Barefoot Contessa—one of the biggest names in the culinary world. She’s been around for years and makes classic American comfort food. She recently posted a short video on her Instagram explaining how you should actually cut your cauliflower.
No more crumbs
She even promises that this technique will ensure you never have cauliflower crumbs scattered all over your countertop again. Well, I’ll sign up for that! Tonight I’m making this cauliflower with almonds and lemon; are you?
