Christmas with Jamie Oliver

It won’t be long before we can shamelessly stuff ourselves at the Christmas table again. Are you hosting Christmas dinner at your house this year? No problem, Jamie Oliver is your hero. With this carefully curated three-course dinner, everyone can go home happy and with a full belly.

First, Jamie’s ultimate Christmas tip: Christmas is all about having fun together, and as the host, you should be part of that too. Divide up the tasks. Let children set the table and make place cards, and ask family and friends who really can’t cook to take care of, for example, a cheese board or the washing-up. If everyone does their bit, you can say goodbye to the stress that Christmas dinner always brings, and everyone will be happy.
Starter: gravad lax
Jamie discovered this dish during one of his travels. It has everything he appreciates about Swedish cuisine: it is subtle, honest and fresh, beautiful to look at, and a breeze to make. That works out perfectly for a hectic Christmas dinner.
Main: roast Christmas goose
If you have never eaten roast goose, this is the ultimate opportunity. It is an easy recipe and, besides providing a heavenly main course, it will (with a little luck) leave you with enough leftovers for your Christmas leftovers.

For dessert: his grandmother’s Christmas pudding
This pudding is a fantastic recipe from Jamie’s grandmother, but with his own twist. The pudding is much lighter than standard Christmas pudding, and it is also a doddle to make, if we are to believe Jamie.
