Once, in a distant past, I had a season ticket for the local football club. The standard recipe for visitors there was: a pint of beer and a greasy hamburger bun. (Not for me as a fourteen-year-old, by the way.) I thought it looked pretty okay, but man… Some stadiums really do serve up absolutely disgusting food.

A club can be as good as it likes, but the canteen certainly earns no points. What you get shoved into your hands at the snack stand is genuinely enough to make you cry.

What makes it even worse, incidentally, is that you really have to pay through the nose for many of the snacks. No, some stadiums really miss the mark completely. Look and shudder….
