And the pastel-colored deviled eggs are absolutely radioactive. All the more reason to toss these disasters in the trash and call the spare-rib express.

Sometimes something looks so amazing on Pinterest or Instagram that the result in your own kitchen can only be disappointing. Or did you overlook or mess something up yourself? Either way: if the edges of your schnitzel are a little too crispy next time, the inside of the cake still a little too runny, and the rice just a little too mushy, take comfort in this: at least it wasn’t as bad on your plate as it is in these photos.
