Breakfast

Start your day at Frühstückscafé A.nni. As the name suggests, this fresh and inviting place is all about a good breakfast. Put together your own brekkie or order a sandwich. Have a sweet tooth? They also make delicious cakes and pastries.

Lunch

At Carlsplatz, you’ll find countless stalls selling all kinds of things. From fresh fries to currywurst, cheese and wines. Put your meal together, take a seat at one of the standing tables or wander past the other stalls with your mouth full.

Drinks

Take in the sights at Brauerei im Füchschen. The large, open space mainly has standing tables. Waiters walk around with large trays full of house-brewed altbier. The beer is placed in front of you and a pencil mark is made on your beer mat. When your beer is (almost) empty, a new altbier is placed in front of you. We dared to order a pilsner and were given a small, good-natured jab for it.

Dinner

Have dinner at the institution Münstermann Kontor. The restaurant is internationally renowned and has now been recommended by the Michelin Guide for ten years in a row. Don’t let this intimidate you, as the atmosphere is relaxed and the prices are very accessible. The long communal tables are full all day long. The lively atmosphere and excellent bistro cuisine make this an essential hotspot.

Cocktail

After dinner, we don’t necessarily feel like dancing. We’d rather enjoy a cocktail at Ellington. The space is somewhat austere, but the large bar and jazzy background music make this a pleasant place. The menu features cocktails such as a gin basil smash, cucumber fizz and more of that deliciousness.

Overnight stay

Fortunately, the atmosphere at hotel Friends is a little classier than the name suggests. The interior is best described as an old-fashioned school with a modern hipster stylist. Think an old vaulting horse from the gym, school bags at reception and leather armchairs to sink into. The rooms, on the other hand, have a cleaner look and are modern with a wink.
