24Kitchen Food Truck Challenge

In summer, it’s so much fun to spend the whole day wandering around, hanging out and eating, preferably with lots of food trucks around you. Are you still nowhere near being ‘food-trucked out’? Then keep an eye on 24Kitchen. 

The new season of the 24Kitchen Food Truck Challenge starts on 14 July, with rapper Lange Frans, ‘Echt Gooisch Meisje’ Pauline Wingelaar and De Worsten van Babel (Hugo Kennis and Jasper and Marius Gottlieb) leading three different food truck teams.

Culinary competition on wheels

In each episode, the three trucks are stationed at a different food festival in the Netherlands, where they compete for the most points from one-person jury member Julius Jaspers. The dish that subsequently generates the highest revenue receives an extra point. The teams are assisted by well-known Dutch celebrities such as Anouk Hoogendijk, Patty Brard and Ferry Doedens.

From Saturday 14 July, this culinary battle can be seen every week at 7:00 PM on 24Kitchen.

The Food Truck Awards

As the grand finale of this summery food truck extravaganza, 24Kitchen is searching for the best food truck in the Netherlands for the fourth year in a row. You could vote for your favourite mobile kitchen from 1 June onwards. The highly coveted award will be presented in July to the truck that received the most votes, giving it plenty of time to enjoy the title.
