If you want to eat good Chinese food, The Hague is the place to be. Walk into Chinatown and restaurants will be coming at you from all sides. These are our favorites, from dim sum to fiery Sichuan.

Full Moon
This is where you go for the very best dim sum. Everything is freshly made, from the jiggly chee cheong fun to fried custard buns for dessert. You can also enjoy delicious hot pot or dinner here, but we mainly come for the dim sum.

Walong
Here, too, you’ll find delicious handmade dim sum. If you come with a large group, you get a round table on which you can rotate all the dishes—that’s fun. The Peking duck and Cantonese dishes are also top-notch here.

Fat Kee
Right in the middle of Chinatown and always busy, so making a reservation is a good idea. All the salt-and-pepper dishes (chicken or shrimp, for example) are highly recommended, as is the kongkung with shrimp paste. Typically Chinese service—read: indifferent and not particularly friendly—but that actually has its charm.
