Of course, you’ve all seen Chef’s Table by now. Fortunately, there are still plenty of other series, films and documentaries about food and drinks.

The Mind of a Chef

An American series that shows you what drives the best chefs in the world. Food is more than nourishment, as this series emphasises. The mind of a chef tells a story about travel, cooking, and the origins and history of ingredients. Each season is told from the perspective of another world-famous chef.

Ratatouille

I think this Disney classic is fantastic. Remy, a rat who can cook incredibly well, gives a trainee chef instructions in the kitchen of a restaurant in Paris. Together, they cook up a storm.

Super Size Me

This documentary takes a close look at the fast-food industry. Morgan Spurlock eats only food from McDonalds for thirty days. The consequences of this diet are discussed in this documentary.

Chef

A lovely feel-good movie about a chef who decides to leave the restaurant where he works after a conflict. He buys a van and starts a food truck with his son.

No Reservations
FavorFlav’s Marieke’s favourite series, in which her hero Anthony Bourdain eats the very best food all over the world. Each episode focuses on a different country.

Burnt

Adam Jones is a feared chef. After a period filled with arguments, alcohol, drugs and little sleep, during which he loses two Michelin stars, he wants to turn his life around. He opens a new restaurant in London. The goal: three Michelin stars.
