Ultimate breakfast pancake

A fluffy pancake filled with: a fried egg, bacon and cheese, covered in maple syrup. Roll it up and serve it to Dad.

Breakfast pizza

Pizza for breakfast? Yep. It’s the perfect excuse to top it not only with sausage meat, mozzarella and tomato sauce, but also bacon and an egg with a runny yolk. Win-win.

Monte Cristo

French toast meets grilled cheese in this decadent breakfast sandwich. Three slices of bread stacked on top of each other, filled with ham, chicken and cheese. Dip the whole thing in batter and fry it in a pan, of course in enormous amounts of butter. Finish with powdered sugar. For when he’s not watching his waistline.

Kaya toast

If you want to make an exotic breakfast, go for Malaysian kaya toast. Topped with a custard-like sweet spread, a soft-boiled egg and soy sauce. The ultimate sweet-and-savory breakfast.

Buttermilk pancakes

Make a really large bowl of batter and start cooking. They’re extra delicious when you stack them, placing a mini knob of butter between all the pancakes. Don’t hold back on the maple syrup either.

Peanut butter & jelly granola

Not a star in the kitchen but still want to serve something special? Order a bag of peanut butter and jelly granola from Granola for Gangsters. If you secretly want to pretend you made it yourself, we won’t tell.

Turkish çilbir

If Dad likes a bit of heat, this might just be his dream breakfast. Red chili flakes are sprinkled over this Turkish dish with eggs, while the yogurt cools everything down again.
