A cocktail in your cake, bonbon or choux pastry

Yes, you read that right. Cocktails aren’t only found in a glass, but also in your cake, bonbon or brownie. 

Alina Doll, co-owner of Solid Cocktails in Amsterdam, makes cakes, pastries and bonbons containing alcohol. Think of a batter with gin and tonic, dough made with tequila or a filling of coconut and rum.

Doll has a background in hospitality and a passion for patisserie. Those two things now come together in her new work. She can’t make a living from it yet, but hopefully that will change soon.

You can drop by Solid Cocktails from Tuesday to Saturday between 11:00 and 19:00 to see what’s available at the time. Looking for something really special? Then it’s best to place an order in advance. Prices start at 2 euros for a chocolate and at 20 euros for a cake.
