Hema has won a Salute to Excellence Award yet again this year. Impressive, because 350 wines were on the tasting table during the World of Private Label International Trade Show, from retailers around the world. The wines were assessed and selected by an international jury of Masters of Wine (MW, the highest international qualification attainable in the field of wine), wine writers, sommeliers and retail experts.

Honest to the Last Drop

Hema’s red house wine, made in northern Spain, emerged as Best Value and Best Quality. The wine is a blend of the garnacha, tempranillo and mazuelo grapes. A soft, lively and uncomplicated wine with aromas of sweet cassis and blueberries. A crowd-pleaser, we’d dare say. Or, as Harold Hamersma says about this wine: “Effective and friendly, cherry-driven red. With a touch of sweetness and a handful of herbs. Ripe, bright and honest to the last drop.” And all for just €3!
