The market for home delivery of food and drinks is still growing enormously. With Maaltijd Thuis, Albert Heijn is now also entering the nationwide meal-delivery market. With Maaltijd Thuis, you can order fresh meals every week that are delivered to your home on a fixed day by a regular delivery driver. The meals cost between €5.99 and €8.29 and only need to be heated up.

Personal preferences

Maaltijd Thuis takes personal dietary and eating preferences into account, such as low-salt, gluten-free and vegetarian options. The food can even be cut into smaller pieces if necessary. This makes the service seem particularly aimed at people who find it difficult to get a hot meal on the table or who do not have the inclination or time to cook themselves.

Delivery vans

The first delivery vans will soon be driving around the country. And an added service: if you order at fixed times, the same delivery driver will also come to your door with the meal to be heated up. So if you also need a familiar face and a chat at the door, this new service might be for you.
