All Supermarket Hamka’s Tested: This Is the Best (and This Is the Worst)

Hamka's test

Small disaster: Lay’s had the nerve to change the recipe of their classic, and the entire internet was up in arms. The aftertaste of the new Hamka’s turned out to be musty — no, this was not a good move. So where should we get Hamka’s now? Snackspert to the rescue, because he went to the supermarket and tasted Hamka’s from Lidl to Albert Heijn, so now you know where to go for a good bag of Hamka’s.

Now that Hamka’s taste less delicious, we have to look for alternatives. I’ve got a top 7 for you — you’re welcome.

Supermarket Hamka’s test

1. Aldi — honestly, the tastiest. Good cheese flavor, perfectly salted, an explosion of flavor in your mouth. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
2. Albert Heijn — simply very tasty. Nice! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
3. Jumbo — Just a little less good than the one from Appie, but certainly not bad. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
4. Lidl — Pretty meh, I expected more. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
5. Plus — Tasty enough, but the cheese flavor is far too mild. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
6. Dirk van den Broek — No, not that good. ⭐️⭐️
7. Gwoon (including Dekamarkt) — Truly disgusting, very cardboard-like. ⭐️

And they’re on sale too. You don’t pay €1.39 for a bag, but only €1.19. What a win-win situation!
