Amsterdam’s largest terrace has opened

Terras Thuishaven Amsterdam

Fancy sitting at a terrace but worried there won’t be a spot for you? You don’t have to worry about that if you go to the terrace of festival Thuishaven. The festival grounds in the Western Harbour Area have been transformed into a huge 6500 m2 terrace. And it will be open every weekend in the coming period, from Thursday through Sunday. It’s even covered in bad weather!

The grounds on Contactweg have been set up as a mix between a terrace and an urban beach. There are tables for 2, 4, 6 or 8 people, spaced well apart. There is also a private rooftop terrace with room for groups of 15. Everything is contactless; you order your drinks and food via QR codes at the table and collect them from a self-service bar.

Mini-rave

What else can you expect besides delicious food and drinks and a relaxed vibe? ‘It’s Thuishaven, but upside down: a venue for all ages, well-known DJs behind the bar – and if things go our way, we might even have a mini-rave every now and then,’ Organiser Kasper Jorissen told news channel AT5.

Covered terrace

The Terrace of Thuishaven is open every Thursday to Sunday from 12:00 to 00:15 at night. They also keep tables available without reservations. In bad weather, the terrace is covered.
