André van Duin returns with a new season of baking show Doorbakken

From this weekend, André van Duin can not only be seen every week in the ninth season of Heel Holland Bakt; he is also returning with a new season of Doorbakken.

From a cozy studio bakery, he looks back at the previous episode of Heel Holland Bakt together with a well-known baking fan, an enthusiastic audience, and the baker who had to leave the tent.
Famous baking fans
In the first episode of Doorbakken, André van Duin welcomes various home bakers who come to have their bakes tasted, including 100-year-old Wim with his bread specialty. The famous baking fan in the first episode is singer Karsu Dönmez. Other famous baking fans visiting André’s bakery this season include Kees Tol and Jack van Gelder. And, of course, each week the eliminated contestant talks about his or her adventures in the tent.
Mini masterclass
Every week, Janny van der Heijden takes André van Duin on an educational outing. In the first episode of Doorbakken, they whip cream together on the farm. Master Pastry Chef Robèrt van Beckhoven, whose magazine Meest Meesterlijk is released in April, gives the baker who had to leave the tent a mini masterclass, and viewers are treated to unique, previously unseen footage from Heel Holland Bakt.
The first episode of Doorbakken will be broadcast on Wednesday, March 16 at 5:25 p.m.; after that, Doorbakken will be shown weekly on Sundays—the day after Heel Holland Bakt —at 10:15 p.m. Weekends full of baking fun, then.
