Anyone up for ramen beer?
We love beer, we love ramen. But ramen beer? We need to think about that for a moment. When we heard that Yuu Japanese Tapas served ramen beer and saw what it looked like, we had to think about it too.
Noodles in beer
Completely in keeping with the style, you get a gigantic beer mug filled with noodles in beer. And it sells like hot cakes. You might say that beer and noodles don’t go well together, but in this case… they do. The ‘beer’ is simply broth made from bonito flakes, and the layer of foam (a perfect two thumbs thick) isn’t beer either.
In the video below, you can see just how incredibly much this ramen looks like real beer. Would you dare try it? You would have to travel to Richmond, Canada. But who knows, if this becomes a gigantic trend, it might spread across the entire world and we may soon be able to enjoy it in the Netherlands too. Kanpai!
