BACARDÍ opens special Rum Room in Amsterdam
Following the previous successes of the Rum Room in Antwerp, Hamburg and London, BACARDÍ is now opening a Rum Room in Amsterdam too. Step into the world of the most awarded rum in the world and get to know its premium varieties here: BACARDÍ Añejo Cuatro, Reserva Ocho and Gran Reserva Diez.
BACARDÍ Añejo Cuatro, Reserva Ocho and Gran Reserva Diez
Alongside its well-known rums, such as BACARDÍ Carta Blanca, BACARDÍ also has dark, aged rums that develop a strong character through maturation in oak barrels. The BACARDÍ Rum Room is dedicated to these rums. The youngest aged premium rum is four-year-old BACARDÍ Añejo Cuatro. This glistening, golden-coloured rum has a honey-smooth taste, balanced with mild vanilla and toasted oak. Añejo Cuatro can be enjoyed ‘on the rocks’, but is best appreciated in a classic rum cocktail, such as a Highball mixed with Ginger Ale.
Eight-year-old BACARDÍ Reserva Ocho is a complex golden-coloured rum with a deep, layered and smooth taste of dried fruit, spices, oak and vanilla. This rum was inspired by a family recipe from 1862 and was reserved for the BACARDÍ family itself for seven generations. The rum is perfect for sipping neat and works well in cocktails with flair, such as an Old Fashioned or an Old Cuban.
Gran Reserva Diez has a different expression and is not simply an older version of Ocho. Diez has something unique. Take a sip of this ten-year-old rum and you will discover plenty of oak and caramelised fruit. This rum is best enjoyed neat, with or without an ice cube.
