Beer Festival in Westerpark: Beer and Games

On 15 and 16 April, you can drink yourself silly and play to your heart’s content in Westerpark. Gollem is organising a beer party together with Westergasterras: Beer and Games.

Brewing beer
Beer is often seen as the drink for a drinking shed in a meadow; in the city, you only go for one last beer when you’re already drunk. Wine, on the other hand, is for connoisseurs. But don’t be mistaken: brewing beer is a craft in its own right. The quantity and type of hops and yeast are crucial. During the festival, you can learn a lot about brewing processes.

Besides shuffleboard, you’re also in the right place for a game of beer pong.

Drinking beer
A good glass of beer now and then is like an ice lolly on a hot summer’s day: a relief. Craft beers have been flying off the shelves lately, and the same goes for this festival. There are so many different flavours (and alcohol percentages). Breweries have been springing up like mushrooms in recent years, and we certainly don’t mind. Many breweries are represented at Beer and Games. They’ll pour their best beers for you while you play shuffleboard in the sun.

Games
Besides shuffleboard, you’re also in the right place for a game of beer pong. Other games have yet to be announced, but we wouldn’t be surprised if pooping nails was one of the other games.

A ticket for one day (Saturday or Sunday) costs €15. With your ticket, you’ll receive a specially printed tasting glass and four drink tokens. You can use these tokens to sample dozens of different types of beer. You can also use the tokens for the various games. Want to go all out? You can: a weekend ticket costs €25 (you’ll receive two tasting glasses and eight tokens).
