Beers and Barrels: eating meat and drinking beer

With two locations by the water in Utrecht and a third in Breda, restaurant Beers and Barrels is becoming increasingly popular.

The tough restaurant chain knows what to serve; the menu is full of steaks and ribs from the Big Green Egg, surf and turf with lobster and steak, a burger or half a chicken, and there are tacos. Once you have made your choice, your food is served on a large plate or a thick wooden board.

The well-seasoned, tender chickens are especially recommended, and the steaks have a perfect, smoky grilled flavour. Big eaters can also order a bit of everything for two or more people by choosing The Butcher together. That way, you won’t miss out on any of the delicious dishes on the menu.

The restaurant
The restaurant is always busy. The industrial look, the plates piled high with large portions of meat and the tap tables available for hire are popular. Making a reservation is therefore not a bad idea. In addition to the tap tables, they also live up to their name with their extensive selection of (specialty) beers.
