Ben & Jerry’s co-founders arrested

During a protest in Washington D.C., Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, co-founders of ice cream brand Ben & Jerry’s, were arrested.

The two joined a few hundred others in ‘ Democracy Awakening’ , an event at the Capitol (government building) against corruption in American politics. The police had to intervene to stop the protest and arrested the duo, but they claimed they were merely walking around there, without protesting.

The solution to food fraud

Wood pulp in your cheese, Italian olive oil that contains no Italian olives, and so on. Food fraud is everywhere. To combat this in the future, the company Cargill has developed software to imitate the decision-making process of fraudsters and discover which food group is at risk. Due to increasing fraud, consumer confidence has declined, and Joseph Scimeca of Cargill wants to change that.
